The New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series recent ventures into the international market has continued to help players all across the globe.
On the heels of the Seattle Mariners signing World Combine standout Michael Arroyo to a reported $1.3 million deal, several other players from the late-2020 event have also agreed to deals with major league clubs now that the window to sign international free agents has opened.
Not long after signing Steven Adderley out of the World Combine, the Miami Marlins continued with their talent pipeline out of the Bahamas, adding Cherif Neymour and Toby Simmons (pictured), both of whom performed well at the Future Stars Series event.
Terms of both contracts are currently undisclosed.
“We’re pleased that these two dynamic, athletic and exciting players have officially joined the Marlins,” Miami international scout Adrian Puig told media outlets in the Bahamas.
Kristin Munroe, who also was one of the standout performers at the World Combine, had previously signed with the Los Angeles Angels.
