Future Stars Series Players Have Big Presence On Collegiate Baseball’s 2023 Pre-Season High School All-American Team

January 24, 2023

A number of Future Stars Series players have been named to Collegiate Baseball’s prestigious pre-season High School All-Americans Team.

Five participants in jewel events were named to the first team in Tuesday’s announcement, including P Jake Brown, P Zane Adams, P Alex Kranzler, C Zion Rose and OF/INF/RHP Landon Stripling.

Brown, who had also starred at both the Underclass Combine and national tournaments, earned one of the starts at Fenway Park in this year’s Main Event and allowed just two hits while striking out two batters in two-plus innings of work.

Adams, a standout at the National Combine and then the Main Event, also dazzled at times in the latter event, striking out four in his outing at the home of the Boston Red Sox.

Kranzler, a New Jersey native, made the Garden State proud at his second appearance in the Main Event this past year, and remains the only player in the six-year history of the event to go nine up, nine down, which he did in the 2021 installment back at Citi Field.

Rose is regarded as one of the top amateur catching prospects in the country, and showed why both at the Main Event and the inaugural Caribbean Classic, where he put on an impressive display on both sides of the ball against some of the top international talent on the planet.

Lastly, Stripling is a unique two-way talent who was used exclusively as a position player at the Main Event, but also was a standout on the mound at the National Combine, where he recorded three strikeouts on the mound.

In addition, combine attendees Nazzan Zanetello and Colin Houck were also named to the team.

Zanetello, who was at the Kansas City combine back in 2021, and Houck, who we saw recently in Georgia just last year, round out the FSS names on the squad.
