Was there anything Cole Prosek didn’t do at the 2026 New Balance Future Stars Series Caribbean Classic presented by DraftLine? The 6-foot-1, 195-pound left-handed hitting slugger homered, caught a few innings and even closed the championship game out on the mound down in the Dominican Republic to help keep the United States team undefeated over the three-year history of the event.
An Ole Miss commit who will have just turned 19 years old when he hears his name called early in the 2026 MLB Draft — he’s listed as the No. 97 prospect by MLB Pipeline and No. 92 by Baseball America — Prosek was only several months removed from a lengthy homer at the Main Event at Globe Life Field in Arlington, and kept his momentum going with a strong, versatile showing at the Naranjo complex. Not only was he named to the All-Tournament Team, he was awarded MVP honors at the event.
In front of numerous big-league scouts, Prosek delivered multiple hits during the four games played over the weekend, and continues to show, according to our most recent scouting report on him, “top two rounds draft potential” as he embarks on a big spring and summer ahead.
