In the first iteration of the Classic in 2022, the likes of Cooper PrattRaudi RodriguezBoston BaroZion RoseTre PhelpsLuke McNeillie, and Alex Kranzler competed as high school standouts before advancing to professional baseball or major college ball.

Thus far, we’ve dug into the following players from this year’s U.S. Roster:

John Lindsey III is a class of 2026 power-hitting corner defender from Petal High School in Mississippi. He’s come through numerous FSS events and has always shown a feel for the barrel and power potential.

In the last few years, the potential has been showing up in games and against good competition.

Huge left-handed power with feel to hit…ball jumps off the barrel with power to all fields. Bat tilt load creates a longer path. Strength, bat speed and timing offset the bat wrap. Explosive impact when he’s on time.— FSS Scouting Staff

Lindsey consistently draws plus raw power grades, and FSS scouts generally agree that the chance to reach plus power production is present and legitimate. And there are reasons to buy into even more than that.

“When he swings under control, and his head stays still, he can be a force in the middle” of the lineup.

Lindsey is committed to UAB to play for coach Casey Dunn and the Blazers.
