PROGRAM 15, the Official Global Grassroots Player Identification and Development Program for New Balance Baseball selects Wilson Sporting Goods Co. as the official supplier of baseballs and gloves for The New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series International Week.
PROGRAM 15 and Wilson Sporting Goods Co. are both known for their unwavering commitment to innovation and pushing the game of baseball and it’s athletes into new territories. Over the past 100 years, Wilson athletes have won Golden Glove awards, World Series championships, Olympic medals and they will soon add the New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series World Champions to that list.
PROGRAM 15 has announced Wilson Sporting Goods Co. as the official supplier of baseballs and gloves for the The 2018 New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series International Week. The invitation-only series features international high school talent identified by PROGRAM 15’s National Staff of former Major League and professional baseball veterans. Each player participating on the International Week World and National team rosters will receive a Wilson glove.
Chad Moeller, 11 Year MLB Catcher and PROGRAM 15 National Catching Coordinator said, “Wilson coming together with PROGRAM15 and the Future Stars Series makes perfect sense. They’re a legendary brand and used by Major League players everywhere. Players will benefit from their addition and International Week just got better as well”.
Wilson will also be the official baseball for PROGRAM 15’s National Skills, Evaluation and Training Combines as well as the National Trials – Championship Tournaments to be held June 27 through July 30th, 2018 in Houston, TX.
PROGRAM 15 has been responsible for executing the New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series Combines and Tournaments, an initiative between the two organizations to elevate the game of baseball by providing amateur players across all economic levels an opportunity to reach their full potential through the training, development, and guidance of former MLB players, scouts, and coaches.
PROGRAM 15 Founder, CEO and President of Baseball Operations for The New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series, Jeremy Booth says, “We are ecstatic to add a group like Wilson to the fold. Their gloves are second to none, and we’re excited to have our players and partner programs using one of the best gloves on the planet. Adding them to International Week was a no-brainer.
We used Wilson baseballs last year in our events and the quality is exceptional. We are proud to have them as the official ball and look forward to working with Wilson as they’ve joined the movement.”
