Future Stars Series Baseball League adds Kage Kobras, Mo Bearcats

The New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series is pleased to announce some additions to the Future Stars Series Baseball League, set to debut in Canada in the near future.

Both the Midwestern Ontario BearCats and Kage Kobras are confirmed to be participating and will join the previously announced trio of the Mississauga Tigers HPP, Vaughan Vikings HPP, and Durham Stallions.

There will be no more than eight teams in the league in any region, ensuring quality competition, and also to provide opportunities for the FSS scouting and development staff to properly evaluate each player, with full reports directly available to all collegiate programs.

With no league fees for the FSSBL as well as the Future Stars Series’ lengthy history of helping to produce top talent out of Canada over the past decade, and the addition of the Bobcats and Kage Kobras, it serves as a perfect fit for both sides.

“This continues to get very real very quickly, and we’re excited to have two more like-minded organizations on board,” said Future Stars Series CEO and President of Baseball Operations, Jeremy Booth.

“We’re confident that both the competition and execution of the Future Stars Series Baseball League will be unlike anything Canada has seen before, and we think this group will set the tone for the league as a whole as it expands into multiple regions in North America.”

The Future Stars Series is fresh off of a long stay up North, having held Scout Days with the Tigers, Stallions and Vikings during a week-long visit north of the border that saw dozens of invites handed out to players for opportunities to advance to signature events such as the Main Event, Fresh 50, Underclass Elite, Underclass Premier and more.

Those players and programs received hands-on instruction and exposure like only the Future Stars Series can do, and more is on the way, past the bevy of content already produced, with profiles set for each program joining the Future Stars Series Baseball League and more.

FROM THE BEARCATS

We are a developmental baseball program comprised of 7 ICBA centres in midwestern Ontario. We provide an opportunity for the best players from their respective centres to showcase their talent at the highest levels of competition. We play within the PBLO, we are rostered with Baseball Ontario, and we are the BearCats. We are creating not only Elite ballplayers but elite individuals.

As an organization, we strive to create an environment that fosters the growth of players to develop into high-level athletes, students, teammates, and people. Our focus is to provide our athletes with the tools and opportunities to reach their goals and dreams.

We support our teams and players to do great things, and in return, our players support the communities they were raised in. Our belief is that it is important to give back through volunteering and fundraising initiatives, which we take part in throughout the year.

FROM THE KAGE KOBRAS

The Kage Kobras Baseball Organization is proud to announce its official launch as a year-round, elite development program for youth baseball players ages 12U through 18U. With a leadership team composed of former professional players, MLB scouts, and collegiate coaches, the Kage Kobras offer a structured, phase-based training model that combines athletic development, skill refinement, and mental performance training—all designed to prepare players for college recruitment and beyond.

“This isn’t just another travel team,” said Brad Barlow, Director of Player Development. “We’re creating a culture of excellence—one that prioritizes individual growth, team accountability, and the work ethic needed to thrive at the next level.”

Program Highlights Include:

  • Year-Round Competitive Teams (12U–18U)
  • Professional-Grade Instruction from coaches with MLB, collegiate, and international experience
  • High-Performance Training in strength, speed, and mobility
  • Baseball IQ & Data Analytics Education
  • Recruiting Support for families navigating college and pro pathways
  • In-Season and Offseason Development Phases tailored to peak performance

The organization’s mission is simple: to develop complete athletes on and off the field—players who demonstrate skill, character, and leadership in everything they do.
